Swannies 2017 annual Boat Party a huge success
Over 140 people turned out on June 17 for the biggest and best Ssans annual Boat Party yet! Leaving from Festival Pier at South Bank under sunny skies, the boat travelled past iconic London landmarks like Tower Bridge, the Cutty Sark and the Shard - with many Swannies cutting shapes on the dance floor by the end of the night. Annual Swannies Jorts Pub Crawl the biggest and best yet
Over 50 Swannies turned out for the 2017 Annual Jorts Pub Crawl on April 1 - making it the biggest and best yet! The "squad", including our women's team for the first time, toured around some of Shoreditch's finest bars in their best denim attire...we're sure there's now a shortage in second-hand shops in East London as a result.
Swannies off to a good start with Oxford pre-season win
The Swannies women's team had a win in their first ever match, while the men's team had a comfortable victory, as the club took on Oxford in pre-season matches. Over 45 people made the trip up to Oxford the day, with many kicking on long into the night in local establishments.
Pre-season training starts, both on and off the field, January 28, 2016:
Pre-season training starts on Saturday, January 28, at Regents Park (Gloucester Green - see map below) at 10.30am sharp. Coaches will be at the venue from 10am for anyone new to the game that would like extra help with the basics of the game.
Training lasts 1-2 hours before everyone is invited to attend local pub (venue TBC) to enjoy a beer and meet your new fellow players.
What to bring? Bring your boots, runners, water, a change of clothes and anybody else you know that wants to have a kick.
Pre-season games locked in for February 25th (Oxford), and March 18th (Amsterdam)
We're pleased to announce that we have locked in two pre-season games so far this year - one in Oxford and the other a round-robin tournament in Amsterdam.
Keep the weekends February 25/26, and March 18/19 free in your diary.
